In Memoriam - Fr. Chris Coleman

It is with great sadness that we tell you of the passing of Fr. Chris Coleman. Fr. Chris was killed in a car crash Sunday evening, July 9. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Fr. Chris was 50 years old and ordained to the priesthood on May 20, 2006. His first assignment was to our parish on July 1, 2006 as Parochial Vicar where he celebrated his first Mass on Sunday, July 2. He left Good Shepherd on June 30, 2008 for his next assignment as Pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Dayton, Ohio where he stayed until 2014. On July 1, 2014 he was appointed Pastor of the Winton Wyoming Pastoral Region (Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Greenhills; St. James of the Valley Parish, Wyoming; and St. Matthias Parish, Forest Park) where he was currently serving.

We extend our sympathy to Fr. Chris’ mother, Barbara Coleman of London, Ohio, his sister Dr. Paula Black of Tipp City, Ohio, his entire family, many friends and the Wyoming Pastoral Region family.
