END OF LIFE ISSUES, CONVERSATIONS AND PLANNING

This workshop will speak to many of the choices and decisions we face when dealing with end of life issues partic-ularly as they pertain to our Catholic faith/beliefs.

WHAT

The program will begin with an overall presentation by Fr. Tom Mannebach on the Catholic understanding of the funeral. Deacon Dennis Berry will follow with a brief discussion on the funeral planning process. This overall presentation will last about 45 minutes. From there you will have the opportunity to hear breakout sessions specific to planning as it relates to end of life issues, and ethics and morality as they pertain to prolonged medical care and tech-nology. These breakouts will last approximately 40 minutes each and the evening will end with a gathering of the entire group for final closing remarks at 8:20 p.m. followed by light refreshments, an opportunity to speak to the presenters one-on-one and to gather related materials.
