Volunteer Opportunities

Listed are volunteer opportunities that request immediate help for the good of your parish. Thank you for your consideration.

Dismas Drive to Benefit the HELP Program :

Good Shepherd began our association with the HELP program by hosting The Dismas Journey in June of 2016. Since then our Prison Ministry/A Ministry of Hope and Mercy has been meeting to assist in several areas. Many Returning Citizens need help with transportation, money for food and gas and clothes. One way to help is to receive gift cards from stores such as Kroger and Meijer. Good Shepherd is hosting the Dismas Drive benefiting the HELP program June 10 and 11. Our ministry team will be around to assist in answering any questions on this ministry.

This is a new drive this year for Shepherd's Care. We voted to support the Ministry that helps returning citizens get their life back together after a stay in prison.  Please click the button below to see how you can assist on June 3/4 and June 10/11, 2017. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Eucharistic Exposition :

We are in need of volunteers to commit as Eucharistic Exposition adorers every Thursday in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. If you are not able to commit to these hours, but can be a substitute that can be called upon when regular adorers cannot attend, please let us know.

Ushers Needed :

We are looking for individuals, men, women, or teens, to serve as an usher at any of our weekend Masses. You would be trained at a time that best fits your schedule. Once trained, you would be scheduled as an usher at the same Mass once a month or bi-weekly. Feel free to see one of the ushers before or after any Mass, or contact Steve Lindner if you are interested in joining this ministry.
