Sacrament of Marriage

For Catholics, the Sacrament of Marriage, or Holy Matrimony, is a public sign that one gives oneself totally to this other person. It is also a public statement about God: the loving union of husband and wife speaks of family values and also God’s values.

You must be a registered parishioner or live within the parish boundaries to request a wedding date. Requests must be made a minimum of eight months prior to the desired wedding date. Participation in a program of Marriage Preparation is required.

NOTE: Weddings are not scheduled during Lent, Advent, or Christmas holidays.

For information on reservations for weddings in the Church or Chapel, contact Patty Lindner, 489-8815, x713. For wedding receptions in our facilities, contact Dan Parker, 489-8815 x793.

If you wish to be married at Good Shepherd and would like to learn more about scheduling, receptions and more, please visit Pastoral Services - Weddings.
