Better Shepherd Committee

The Better Shepherd Committee is established to assist with the formation, implementation and continuation of the parish's annual and long range planning process. The efforts of the committee are focused on utilizing the parish-wide gifts of time, talent and treasure to perpetuate Good Shepherd as a supportive and nurturing faith community alive with the Spirit and reaching out to those in need.

Members of the committee represent Parish Pastoral Council; Education and Formation, Pastoral Care and Outreach, Stewardship, and Worship and Sacraments commissions; and at-large members of the parish and staff.

Parishioners are invited to become involved in the planning process of participating in a series of annual assemblies conducted separately by the individual commissions. During these meetings, parish commissions provide updates on their goals and programs and solicit feedback that is used to help refine current activities and develop plans for the future.

Members of the Better Shepherd Committee meet regularly to coordinate the planning process and provide support and assistance to the parish commissions and staff as required.

Regular updates on the Better Shepherd process and the activities of the parish commissions are published in the weekly bulletin, the parish annual report and on the Good Shepherd website.
