St. Vincent de Paul Society

We work directly with people in need, providing financial aid and advice with no strings attached.

Vincentians help the truly needy, those who are struggling to pay rent or utilities, or to put food on their table.

We collect and distribute food baskets at Thanksgiving, collect clothing twice per year to be used by St. Vincent de Paul stores, maintain a collection box in the Take It or Leave It room of the church, and assist in the collection and distribution of furniture from Good Shepherd parishioners to those in need.

Volunteers are needed to participate in our collection drives both as workers and drivers.

Currently St. Vincent de Paul is need of volunteers to assist in the followings areas:

1) A volunteer who will check the incoming phone call message line on a daily basis. This can be done from home. The volunteer would fill in a Call Sheet and then call the Vincentian who works with the client to handle the request for assistance. Call Sheets are then dropped off at church, when convenient. A little more than one call per day is received during the year.

2) A volunteer is needed who is able to come to church about two times a month to enter call information into the St. Vincent de Paul database. Estimated time required is 2-3 hours per month.

3) A Windows XP based laptop is needed. Minimal hard drive space and memory are required. Would you be able to donate this laptop?
