Social Ministries Getting socially connected with others is important for maintaining the welcoming spirit at Good Shepherd. Over the years, Good Shepherd has provided the setting for the start of many life-long friendships. Existing sports include youth baseball, co-ed softball, golf leagues for both youth and adults, and volleyball leagues for girls. Members play contract bridge for fun. It is a habit forming, warmly received social activity in a Christian atmosphere. A Monday morning group of women dedicated to making quality craft items for the bi-annual Holiday Emporium; a food, craft and raffle fundraiser. Members are focused on activities that build relationships among families with children. M.O.M.S. - Ministry of Mothers Sharing Members share the common bond of motherhood and the desire to grow spiritually as a wife, mother, friend and woman. An active, vibrant ministry of seniors, fifty-five years of age and older, who join together to grow and develop socially, spiritually and educationally, as well as to serve others. Young adult ministry offers spiritual, social and service activities to all adults, married or single, in their 20's and 30's. Senior Shepherd Jazz BandThis group of musically talented and fun-loving people shares their talents with senior organizations, retirement and nursing home residents, as well as their fellow parishioners.
