Family Life Ministry

Our mission is to support parish families as they seek and achieve an authentic and satisfying Christian experience in marriage and family life, helping them embrace a growing love relationship with Jesus Christ.

FamilyFamily: An intimate community of persons bound together by blood, marriage, or adoption, for the whole life.

By sharing in the life and mission of the Church, the family is the church of the home. The domestic church is the family; it is the faith-life of the family. It is a community of life and love, an invisible structure made of the love between each family member and between them and God.

"The two essentials in your home are your own relationship with God and the unconditional love that ultimately unites you, your children, and the Lord." - Ross Campbell taken from How to Really Parent Your Child

We are now underway developing a Family Life Ministry for Good Shepherd. As we begin, we have a simple request:

  • Take a moment to slow down just a bit
  • Consider your personal faith life and that of your family
  • Does your family enjoy a healthy spiritual life?
  • Is your Catholic faith a significant part of your child's life?
  • Could you benefit from some new ideas and support of your families' faith experience?

This ministry is being designed to serve you, the Catholic family. Our desire is to hear your needs and respond with ideas and opportunities for your family to grow in your love for Jesus.

Please consider sharing your ideas, or faith experience. Call or e-mail me today, Yvonne Hill!
