Decorating is done throughout the year to reflect changes in the liturgical calendar, as well as nature's calendar. While many of the tasks are common, there is an uncommon feeling of joy shared by members of this ministry when they know they were a part in making the church beautiful for our many liturgical celebrations.

Care of Church & Chapel Ministry
Members clean the worship space. Their tasks include vacuuming, sweeping, and dusting of the altars and musicians' area; watering plants; cleaning the sacristy; washing chalices; and filling wine and water decanters. They also maintain candles, and wash and iron altar cloths and vestments at home.

Time Commitment: About one hour a week.

Accoutrement Ministers
Members provide decorations for the altar, foyer, and church entryways. The accents are changed to reflect the various changes of the religious seasons. Work during Christmas and Easter is more extensive. Many additional fresh flowers are used and have to be maintained. The Community Room also needs to be decorated. Extra volunteers are always appreciated during these seasons. Decorating is done in stages, but there are always tasks to be completed on December 23 or 24 and Holy Saturday.
