Door Greeter
Share your warm smile and a genuine welcome as you open the doors for parishioners coming to Mass on weekends. It is a simple ministry, but creates a welcoming atmosphere for the people as they enter Good Shepherd for worship. Door Greeters arrive about 20 minutes before their selected Mass, and stand outside their assigned door. They may be individuals, couples, or youth (12 or over).

Usher
Ushers are responsible for an atmosphere of welcoming and helpfulness throughout the Mass or liturgy. They perform duties such as providing information and directions, helping with seating, handling collections, and coordinating Communion distribution. They also help to pick up music books and lost items after each Mass. Ushers work in teams led by a "captain", and are assigned to a particular Mass on a rotating basis. Training is provided.

Welcoming Shepherds

Also, these wonderful volunteers make follow-up calls to new members to make sure their initial experience remains favorable.
