Ushers

At our weekend Masses and other liturgies, our team helps to maintain and enhance Good Shepherd’s unique sense of hospitality through our warm, friendly, and caring interaction.

Ushers are responsible for an atmosphere of welcoming and helpfulness throughout the Mass or liturgy. They perform duties such as providing information and directions, helping with seating, handling collections, and coordinating Communion distribution. They also help to pick up music books and lost items after each Mass. Ushers work in teams led by a “captain”, and are assigned to a particular Mass on a rotating basis. Training is provided.
