The Christmas Gift-Giving Project takes place each year and is coordinated by Good Shepherd's Shepherds Care ministry. Shepherds Care volunteers work with local, mostly Catholic, social service agencies to determine unmet needs at Christmas time. The Ministry supplies the requested needs and gift tags; parishioners supply the material blessings and bring them back to church with the gift tag. Volunteers then distribute the gifts to the local agencies.

This annual Shepherds Care project makes it easy to really get into the Christmas spirit by helping others…making their Christmas a little brighter this year.
The Shepherds Care ministry works with local, mostly Catholic, social service agencies to determine unmet needs. In some cases, the opportunity is to provide a wanted or needed item as a wrapped present for an individual. Other opportunities are for supplying needed items to the agency that lets the client choose a gift in return for completing services or programs. In either case, a Christmas time blessing is bestowed because of your generosity.
We supply the requested needs and gift tags; you supply the material blessings and bring them back to church with the gift tag. It’s pretty easy and can be a lot of fun especially if you share the planning and shopping experience with loved ones or friends.
We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas season sharing in the hope and love that Christ’s birth inspires!
TEEN AND ADULT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We still have needs for helpers before/after Masses in November and early December, including drivers to deliver gifts to agencies Monday, December 5 and Tuesday, December 6. This project is also a great opportunity for youth service hours.
