Gift Bearers

The role of Gift Bearers is really very simple. Gift Bearers carry the cross and two candles in the opening procession and closing procession—they also bring the gifts of bread and wine to the altar at Offertory.

Ministers participate in offering these services about once every month. Gift Bearers need to arrive 15 minutes before Mass for set-up.

There is a 30 minute training session prior to participation in the ministry. Ministers may be single or family units.

Time commitment: Bi-monthly

Meeting times: Training takes place at a time that is convenient for each individual, or training can take place 30 minutes prior to Mass.
