The Lector proclaims the Word of God at Mass.
A Lector is a lay person who proclaims the Word of God by reading the first and second Scripture readings and the petitions at liturgies. Lectors must have a clear, concise speaking voice, be articulate, and be capable of speaking in front of large crowds.
Time commitment: Once every 4-8 weeks at Mass of choice, considerable preparation time at home, arrive 15-20 minutes before Mass begins.
Meeting times: Initial audition/workshop, refresher as needed.
