Provides inner city youth opportunities to break the cycle of poverty through tutoring, financial aid and other support.
Support comes in the form of tutors, mentors, drivers, coaches, role models, etc. All can participate in this unique hands-on opportunity.
In 2004, the Scholarship Ministry presented a check for $40,000 to enable 20 inner city children to attend Purcell Marian High School.
Our focus is to provide mentoring, tutoring, and any hands-on help necessary for those students receiving our financial help. This hands-on help will insure that each student receives the opportunity to succeed, while giving our parishioners their own opportunity to get involved, change a life, and really “make a difference.”
Volunteers are needed for mentoring, tutoring, exploring scholarships, providing transportation, or doing whatever is necessary to help students succeed.
